Municipal campaigns in Ontario run on small contributions from individual neighbours.
There are no corporate donors, no union money, and no party behind this. Just people who live here.
Before you contribute — the rules
These are set by the Municipal Elections Act, 1996, not by us.
- You must be an individual normally resident in Ontario.
- Corporations and trade unions cannot contribute. Please don't donate through a business account.
- The maximum is $1,200 to this campaign, and $5,000 total across all candidates in Burlington.
- We need your full name and mailing address — the law requires it, and I must issue you a receipt.
- Contributions are not tax deductible. Municipal campaigns do not issue charitable receipts.
By continuing, you confirm you are an individual resident of Ontario contributing your own money — not funds provided by anyone else — and that this contribution keeps you within both limits.
